General Rules For Sprint ## Commands
If you need to enter any ## command it will generaly follow the same sequence, sometimes an additional # needs to be added at the end. Sometimes you need to press the dial button(some treos).
Master Subsidy Lock
MSL. also called lockcode, or service code. If you phone is refurbished most likely your MSL is 000000.
It's always 6 digits. Your phone has a separate lockcode for the security menu.
Passwords
Your Sprint phone and/or Sprint account will and can have a number of passwords. Its possible to have passwords you didn't even know you had.
They are listed as followed and may be based
on services and/or features you use or have access too.
Account password - Used to access account when calling customer care or to access Sprint.com
Sprint Picturemail password - Used if your phone asks when using Sprint Picturemail or to access
Sprint.com/picturemail
Sprint Wireless Backup password - To access Sprint Wireless Backup at wirelessbackup.sprint.com
Sprint Voice Command password - For voice commands
Sprint Vision/Power Vision password - Only needed to setup email client on smart devices or to manually program any phone with ##DATA command.
Sprint Voicemail password - Its 4-6 digits and used when you call voicemail if you haven't activated password skip.
Sprint Phone as modem password - Used when setting up Sprint phone as modem service.
Email address password - To access email
Sprint Vision/Power Vision username/user id - On most regular hadndsets it will be listed under: menu> settings> phone info>
Ip Basic - It comes standard with all 3g (Vision) and Power Vision phones. It gives you an email address (Vision or Power Vision username). The email address and password for it are system generated but can be customized at Sprint.com.
Text email address - phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
ADDRESS CHANGE - If your coverage address changes your mdn (mobile dialing number)
call and change your address. Be sure that
only the mailing address gets changed. RECOMMENDATION - Call tech support to change your mailing address.
CODES
##RTN(#) THIS DELETES EVERYTHING FROM YOUR PHONE:
-PHONE WILL NEED TO BE PROGRAMMED AFTER THIS.
No calls will work until it's done.

-press ok
-reset default
-enter MSL
-verify choice
##DATA , 3282 - This menu has a number of functions. Most important is reset default if Vision/Power Vision. also, email/username & password if it's incorrect. You can also do the following:
-change homepage
-change Sprint Picturemail url
-your specific phone may have some unique setting as well.
##MSL#(##000000#refurbished handsets) - To reprogram phone, resolves alot of issues related to dropped calls, repair service, poor coverage, and last but not least roaming.
FORGOT 4 DIGIT LOCKCODE, FOR SECURITY MENU - ##3282# or ##3282 or ##3282# dial on some smart devies
-3g menu scroll down to advanced, press ok
-scroll to edit, press ok
-enter msl(master subsidy lock) aka lockcode, it's a 6 digit #
-scroll to lockcode, press ok
Error g4 w/ picturemail - change in ##DATA menu

Can't use sprint picture mail?
-try using picture mail and it says locked
-call sprint, ask for tech support
-request picture mail bad sign be reset
-even if the sprint rep from tech support says it doesn't need to be reset ask them to humor you
ERROR(S) pm87, pm88, pm89 - Try all picturemail steps. If fail call tech support.
Clear picture token - menu>settings>security>picturemail>reset token/picturemail. Not all phones have this option.
Clear cookies - menu> web(press ok)> menu(on screen), more or preferences(press ok)> cookies> delete all
Clear history - menu> web(press ok)> menu(on screen), history(press ok), delete all
Sending pictures to mobile phone by email:
-sprint pcs: mobilenumber@pm.sprint.com
##PRI# - For treos only. If the internet doesn't work.
##774# or ##774
-tap dial
-reset/restore factory default (NOTHING IS GETTING DELETED)
